This ad allowed me to experiment with editing and layout techniques that are outside of my comfort zone. In the pageant world, photo editing is over the top to create a flawless, doll-like appearance. This style is called "glitz" and is most obvious on photos of babies and children. This style also often features composited backgrounds to enhance the fantasy feeling. The original photo was taken on my phone, I styled myself that day as a "Stepford Wife" to fit in perfectly with the uncanny valley editing. Overall this was a very fun piece to create and I ended up loving it unironically.
